SMS Biotech
SMSbiotech is a biotech company that discovered and named a novel human stem cell, called the Small Mobile Stem cell. This breakthrough has the potential to transform how the healthcare industry develops new cell therapies and medications, opening up possibilities for treating a broad range of medical conditions. They needed a website to document their work and to keep us informed about their ongoing progress.
We started our process by getting to know who would be using the website and what they were looking for. This included expert scientists, investors, and people interested in biotech and want to stay up to date with the latest developments. Our goal was to create a site that works well for all groups: it needed to have detailed scientific resources for the experts, and also explain the overall benefits and big ideas clearly for everyone else.
Starting from the existing visual identity of SMSbiotech, we created a color palette that is more suitable for digital use. We kept Oxford Blue as the main color to sustain an academic and credible image but brought in Pumpkin Orange as a secondary color to provide a vibrant contrast. Colombian Blue was added to highlight the company's focus on innovation and discovery, and White was used to make the overall design feel more welcoming and user-friendly.
We extended the brand’s visual language by creating a series of custom 3D graphics that depict elements of the human body, helping us emphasize the mission of SMSbiotech: democratizing the application of adult stem cell technologies for human health. Opting for a minimalist style, these illustrations create an inviting atmosphere for biotech enthusiasts as well as experts, encouraging users to explore and learn more as they navigate through the website.
The website was developed using Webflow, selected for its intuitive content management capabilities. This enables our clients to easily update content and post the latest news. They consistently update the site with new scientific presentations and developments in the field of stem cell research and treatment. The Mega Menu is intuitively designed to enable users to locate the resources they're seeking.
